Permits

Oakley’s posted January 1, 2026 schedule lists $264.25 for single-family or duplex reroofing, including applicable City fees. We confirm the current assessment and any state or payment-processing charges before payment; commercial reroofs use a different valuation-based route. ARS allows approximately one week for permitting; issuance is not guaranteed.

Tear-off and final

We arrange the tear-off inspection before covering and final after completion. We confirm whether repairs or new decking add another check to the permit.

Safe access for inspection

We provide safe ladder access and coordinate the inspection visit. We may need you to secure pets or authorize entry; if no adult will be present for an exterior inspection at an occupied property, we explain and arrange the required posted permission with you.

Inspections and booking

  1. Deck and sheathing — Oakley requires tear-off inspection before the exposed roof is covered, followed by final. If sheathing is replaced, we ask whether the inspector also requires a nailing check before covering.
  2. In-progress — The usual Oakley sequence is tear-off, then final. We follow any additional intermediate inspections assigned on your permit.
  3. Final closeout — Final inspection required after roofing is complete. We print the issued permit/inspection card and provide safe roof access.
  4. Scheduling — We call 925-625-7005 by 4 p.m. the day before the desired inspection. Inspections Monday-Friday except the first and third Fridays; AM 8 a.m.-noon or PM 1-4 p.m.
