Instant estimate

Your roof, priced while you wait

Enter your address and the instant estimate gives you a number in minutes. It uses satellite measurements of your roof’s size and slope to give a price for each shingle line. It can’t see the roof’s condition. Our online tool can’t price some roofs instantly; for those, our team can call you with an estimate.

Questions about the instant estimate

How accurate is the instant estimate?

Accurate enough that we stand behind it. It is built from a satellite measurement of every facet of your roof and our published rates, for a standard project: a single-layer tear-off on a solid plywood deck. The visit confirms those conditions. If we find something different, like another layer or spaced boards, we show you what changes and why.

Why is the roof measurement larger than my home’s square footage?

We measure every roof facet’s area and slope by satellite, and a sloped roof has more surface than the floor under it. Overhangs, a garage and covered porches add more. The instant estimate also adds 14% for waste and rounds up to the next whole square. Tell us about a detached garage or a flat section out back, so it’s in the price.

Why does it ask how many layers are on my roof?

Every old layer comes off, and each extra layer costs $75 per square to remove. If you don’t know how many layers you have, the price shown is for a single-layer roof.

Why can’t it price my roof?

It prices by your roof’s main pitch: flat roofs at 0/12 or 1/12, and shingle roofs from 2/12 to 6/12. Steeper roofs need a person. Our team can call you with an estimate.
