Rules for Antioch
Permits
We handle your Antioch roofing permit application and coordinate required City reviews and inspections. You won’t need to manage the permit application or City paperwork yourself. A March 2026 composition tear-off permit for 2,618 square feet totaled $513.04; we obtain the current assessment for your roof. ARS allows approximately one week for permitting; issuance is not guaranteed.
Solar panels
Removing and reinstalling photovoltaic panels requires a separate solar removal/reinstallation permit as well as the reroof permit. We coordinate the roofing permit and schedule with the appropriately qualified solar contractor and clarify responsibility for the solar permit before work starts.
Before final
We arrange the required in-progress check before final; the portal blocks final until that stage passes. We also confirm deck and repair checks before covering the roof.
From the Antioch building department and our own project records. Rules updated October 15, 2026; permit-fee references reviewed October 11, 2026; detailed inspection guidance checked October 10, 2026. Fees change, so we confirm yours when we pull the permit.
Inspections
Inspections and booking
Deck and sheathing — We confirm Antioch’s deck and repair inspection requirements on your permit before covering the exposed roof. The usual in-progress and final sequence does not by itself waive a deck check.
In-progress — We arrange Roof-In-Progress before final. We confirm with Antioch how much roofing may be installed before that visit; we do not choose a completion percentage without the inspector’s direction.
Final closeout — Required after the Roof-In-Progress inspection is completed; the portal blocks final scheduling while the preceding required inspection is incomplete. We clear permit-specific waste/other holds.
Scheduling — We use Antioch’s permit portal. Inspections run Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–noon or noon–3 p.m. Friday capacity is limited, so request Friday at least three business days ahead. We confirm other booking deadlines and available appointments.
